You have the ability to add affiliates to your CRM to track how well your traffic sources are performing. You can also add the affiliate pixels to your CRM, eliminating the need to have a developer add the pixels to your funnel directly.
Select 'CRM' and then 'Affiliates' from the navigation menu to get to the Affiliates Page.
From the Affiliates Page, you can see all of your existing affiliates and their details, including:
Aff Id (affId - used in the tracking string AND as the affId parameter in Import Lead and Import Order to link orders to the affiliate)
The affiliate's name
The names of the campaigns to which they are allowed to send traffic
Their campaign count
You can also search for affiliates by campaign or with the search bar
To add an affiliate, click the green + button in the right corner of the Affiliates panel
Give your affiliate a Source Title (their name in the CRM) and click 'Create'.
On the Affiliates Page, click the blue edit button next to the affiliate you wish to edit.
From the Edit Affiliate Page, you can:
Edit the Source Title and Aff ID
Add and edit passed values
Add to or remove the affiliate from campaigns
See Sub Affs (publisher values) and disable them
Add affiliate pixels
By default, order pixels will fire immediately upon the initial order and will not be fired on orders using prepaid cards.
Fire Pixels On Prepaid Cards - Allow affiliate pixels to be fired for prepaid card sales.
Fire Pixels On QA Approval - Prevent pixels from firing for this affiliate on pending orders until the order has been approved in Quality Assurance. This option should only be enabled if the affiliate uses POSTBACK pixels.
Hide Revenue from Affiliate - Hide revenue columns from this affiliate on the Affiliate Report. The Affiliate Report also contains links to other reports. Control affiliate access to these other reports using user security. Note: This option will only take effect if "Show Revenue to Affiliates" is enabled on the Account page.
Fire on Rerun of Initial Decline - If checked, this will fire pixels when an initially-declined order is rerun successfully. This option should only be enabled if the affiliate uses POSTBACK pixels.
Fire When Sent to Fulfillment House - If checked, this will fire pixels when an order is sent to the fulfillment house. Pixels will not fire for system fulfillment or digital products. This option should only be enabled if the affiliate uses POSTBACK pixels.
Make the necessary changes and then click 'Update'.
When setting up an affiliate, you need to clarify with your affiliate on which values they plan to send. An affiliate profile will have values c1, c2, and c3 by default upon creation. After talking with your affiliate, you will configure the values and then provide the affiliate with the tracking string shown at the top of the Passed Values section. It will be helpful to the affiliate to also provide definitions of each value (ex. Which is the publisher?, Which is the clickId?) - or - they will tell you what values they plan to send, and you can configure the passed values based on that.
Click the green + button at the top right to add a passed value (you can have up to 5 per affiliate) or the blue edit button beside the value that you wish to edit.
These are values that the affiliate will send with traffic via the tracking string attached to the end of your website URL. The numbered values correspond to the sourceValue1-5 parameters for Import Lead and Import Order API calls. You can change the value names and mark one as the publisher and one as the sub affiliate.
You cannot use "SOURCEID" as a value
The affiliate link must include their affId for the traffic / orders to be linked to them.
Select the Campaigns tab to see all the campaigns the affiliate is currently in.
Affiliates will only be granted credit for the sales against the campaigns they are assigned to.
Click the green + button, select the campaign, and click 'Add Campaign' to add the affiliate to a campaign.
Click the red delete button next to the campaign to remove the affiliate from that campaign.
The Publishers tab shows all publisher values received for this affiliate.
You can disable publishers if you think they are sending bad traffic. Orders attached to disabled publishers will not be processed and instead will be declined with the message "Affiliate (Publisher) blacklisted."
Disabled publishers can be re-enabled.
The pixels tab shows all pixels set up for the affiliate.
Please view this article for directions on how to add a pixel.
